Reflection on the inadequacies of the NYC BOE and technology

We sit in an hot auditorium which will never have airconditioning, very reflective of a typical NYC Board of Education school. We discuss things that are often blocked, censored and feared by educators, parents and mostly edu-crats throughout America. Learning via Internet is like sex to teenagers. You can tell 'em not to, watch them like hawks, attempt to give them ethics and morals regarding it, but whatever we do, they will be "doin' it" anyway. The question becomes "How can I integrate that which they use already into my classroom?"
